Family Time at HH

What a wonderful gift to have family time in the mountains! Tony, Yosi, Alexander, Grandpa, Aunty Tanya and Jessica all came to HH on Friday night to spend a fun and adventurous weekend. We all missed Rob, but knew he was hapy playing golf in London with the Knobs boys. Saturday morning was beautiful, so we lazed about the house and after a failed attempt to go to Lac Gers, we took everyone to the Col Joux Plane for a scenic drive and with the hopes of the restaurant being open - but no chance. It is rest time for the local restaurants and most of them only reopen mid June. So we headed to Lac Bleu in Morillon for steak and chips and a play in the water. The kids loved it - they were so brave to swim & even managed to catch tadpoles - a novelty for them both. Saturday afternoon we spent lazing about and going for a nice walk to the Cascades de Nant just above HH. Kids did brilliantly. Saturday night we had a great braai outside and enjoyed a glass of champers whilst watch the kids play in the river & Tony climbing the tree to place the bird house even higher :-) Sunday was a great day, we were taken up the mountain in a 4X4 to the beautiful Lac Gers where we enjoyed the views, walked alittle, played, read Dr Suess Green Eggs and Ham, enjoyed a fabulous lunch & chilled. The family loved it so, that they have booked to stay a night at the end of June - am thrilled ! Lets hope Tony can catch a trout or two.
